Oh, Cello there! Meet Amy

It all started when…

I heard the cello for the first time at 8 years old and instantly fell in love! After 15 years of studying & performing classically, I co-created Alternative Rock band Post Paradise and completely burst open my musical world. Improvising, creating parts and songs, touring & studio recording were all brand new to me and now I can’t imagine my life without it. I’ve made my best friends and favorite memories though music and love to share that joy & this gorgeous instrument with others through teaching & performing.

  • I coach cello lovers of ALL abilities and ages; always with a positive & encouraging approach. Enjoying the process and having fun playing music is the single most important thing to me. I teach with a classical foundation, but love to incorporate a variety of styles and pieces focusing on each students interests.

Performance and group opportunities available to help to build confidence in practice and on stage and support students in reaching their goals, whether that’s going to music school, playing just for fun or being in a rock band. Online lessons available too!

  • Background music services for weddings, events, yoga/meditation class, proposals and romantic dinners; cello makes everything classier! I play solo, (duo / groups sometimes available) and perform a mix of classical, cello-ified covers, and ambient looping. Last minute gigs are my favorite! Contact for rates.

    Notable performance/collaborations:

    NOFX
The Decline - Live at Red Rocks

    Take to the Oars
Bar Talk - Live At Red Rocks

  • I love recording and collaborating to help other artists complete their vision. Ambient, improvisational, world music and classical, I love playing & adding a variety of styles. In addition to seven full length studio records with Post Paradise, I have tracked on a variety of music genres and styles, and was featured on the Rise Against song People Live Here:
